Javon Bowen (Kingston, Jamaica/Jamaica College) is one of 10 student-athletes to feature on the 2024-25 Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area Men's Track & Field Team, which is selected through voting conducted by the sports information directors of 30 institutions in the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
Bowen ranked second in all of Division II in the indoor long jump after breaking a school record with a mark of 7.69m at the Spartan Invitational on Jan. 10.
The junior was then instrumental in helping the Tigers three-peat as East Coast Conference (ECC) champions, winning both the long jump and the 60m at the championships in February, before going on to earn Second Team All-America accolades after placing ninth in the long jump at the 2025 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships in March.
In addition to earning U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Region accolades in the indoor long jump, he was also a USTFCCCA All-Region honoree in the outdoor 100m.
Academically, Bowen sports a 3.44 cumulative grade point average as an Applied Computer Science major. He is four-time Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Academic Honor Roll recipient and a member of the ECC Commissioner's Honor Roll.
