The HFU men's and women's track & field programs have both recognized as All-Academic Teams by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Additionally,
Javon Bowen (Kingston, Jamaica/Jamaica College),
Desi Stroud (Mays Landing, N.J./ACIT) and
Ocelia Jones (St. Elizabeth, Jamaica/Maggotty) were all named USTFCCCA All-Academic Athletes.
To qualify as a USTFCCCA All-Academic Team, the cumulative grade point average (GPA) for all student-athletes on an institution's NCAA Squad List must be 3.0 or higher.
The women currently sport a 3.38, while the men are at 3.17.
USTFCCCA All-Academic Athletes must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 and have finished the season among the top 50 in the nation in an event.
Bowen ranked second in Division II in the indoor long jump (7.69m), while Stroud was 28th in the outdoor long jump (7.39m). Jones qualified with a time of 8.73 in the indoor 60m hurdles.
