Holy Family University's
Taylor Hinkle (Chalfont, Pa./Central Bucks South) has won her first career Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Rookie of the Week award.
She is the second Tiger to claim the honor this season,
joining classmate Skyler Searfoss.
The freshman averaged 13.0 points on 50.0 percent shooting (10-of-20), to go along with 6.5 rebounds, against a pair of PSAC opponents last week. She made 4-of-9 3-pointers and both of her free throw attempts.
Hinkle was the lone Tiger in double-figures with 14 points, one shy of a season-best, while adding seven boards in Wednesday's five-point loss to regionally-ranked Kutztown.
The Chalfont, Pa. native then led a balanced scoring attack with 12 points on 5-of-9 field goals and 2-of-2 3-pointers, to go along with six rebounds and a team-high two steals, in Saturday's 61-37 triumph over one-loss East Stroudsburg.
