Women’s Basketball the Favorite in CACC Preseason Coaches Poll

The HFU Women's Basketball Team has been voted the favorite as the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) released its 2026-27 Preseason Coaches Poll on Thursday.

Coming off a season in which they went 20-0 in league play and became the first women's basketball team in conference history to win the East Regional to advance to the Elite Eight, the Tigers received seven of a possible 10 first-place votes.

Defending CACC Tournament champion Felician garnered four top votes, with third place Jefferson earning the other.

The top eight teams in the regular season standings qualify for the 2027 CACC Tournament, which commences with quarterfinal round hosted by the top four seeds on March 2.

The semifinals and championship game will be hosted by Holy Family on March 6-7.

Holy Family, who returns nine student-athletes from last year's team, begins its 2026-27 campaign with a trip to College of Staten Island on Nov. 13.

HFU's home-opener is the following Tuesday, on Nov. 17, when the Tigers welcome Kutztown to the Campus Center.
