Skyler Searfoss (Jim Thorpe, Pa./Jim Thorpe Area) has won her first career Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Rookie of the Week award after a week that included a 38-point outburst in Friday's overtime triumph over regionally-ranked Lincoln on Friday.
Those 38 points are tied for the most in Division II this season, highlighting a week in which she averaged 21.3 points on 57.5 percent shooting (23-of-40) and 17-of-22 free throws (77.3 percent). She added 4.0 rebounds, 3.0 steals and 2.3 assists per contest.
After beginning the week with a team-high 14 points and game-high six steals in an overtime loss at Bloomsburg on Monday, Searfoss was an efficient 12-of-15 from the floor and 14-of-17 from the foul line in Friday's breakout performance.
The freshman then led Holy Family with 12 points, six rebounds and three assists against Minnesota State Moorhead on Saturday.
