Holy Family Head Men's Soccer Coach
Georg Montag picked up his first career Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Coach of the Year award, highlighting the league offices releasing postseason honors that saw four Tigers earn their first career All-CACC accolades.
Graduate student
Joel Richmond (Bridgetown, Barbados/Church Farm) and senior
Sean Touey (Rockledge, Pa./Abington) were both named All-CACC First Team, while senior
Dakota Taylor (Willow Grove, Pa./Archbishop Wood) and
Nicolloyd Dinham (Manchester, Jamaica/(ASA)) were both recognized as All-CACC Second Team.
Montag led HFU to one of its most successful ever seasons as the Tigers set a program record with nine CACC victories, while their 12 overall wins are their most since 2007.
Voted fifth in the preseason poll, Holy Family exceeded expectations to place second in the regular season standings, matching the program record set in 2003.
HFU's orchestrator in the midfield, Richmond is one of four Tigers to start every match in 2022. He is top-five on the team in nearly every statistical category, including minutes (1660), goals (3), assists (2), points (8), shots (29), shot percentage (.103), shots on goal (14) and game-winning goals (1).
Touey leads Holy Family with eight goals, ranking fourth in the CACC. He is also second in the conference with a team-leading four game-winning goals, while his 20 points, four assists and 24 shots on goal all are second on HFU and top-10 in the league. Like Richmond, he is one of four Tigers to start every match.
Taylor is atop the CACC with 60 shots, while his four game-winning goals and 32 shots on goal rank second. He leads HFU with seven assists and is second with seven goals, both of which are fifth in the conference, while his team-leading 21 points rank sixth in the league.
Dinham anchors the HFU defense that ranked fourth in the CACC goals allowed. He has started all 17 of his appearances and is sixth on the team with 1501 minutes played.
