Soccer Doubleheader Headlines Opening of ‘New’ Tiger Field

Philadelphia, Pa. – On Wednesday, Sept. 15, Holy Family University and the Department of Athletics will unveil 'New' Tiger Field to the public when the Tigers host a pair of soccer contests to open the facility.

The women's soccer team will be the first to play on the new field while hosting cross-town rival Thomas Jefferson University in the first Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest of the season starting at 4 p.m.  Following the women's game, the men's soccer team will host Queens College in a non-conference contest at 7 p.m.  It'll be the first-ever outdoor night game on Holy Family's campus.

"As a university we are all thrilled that this day has finally arrived," said Director of Athletics Tim Hamill.  "The new turf-field looks incredible!  I know our student-athletes are going to love competing on it as it will truly be a home-field advantage."

Holy Family will hold a ribbon cutting and blessing of 'New' Tiger Field during Homecoming festivities on Saturday, Oct. 9 between the men's and women's CACC doubleheader against Caldwell University. For more information on Homecoming 2021 visit holyfamily.edu/homecoming.
