How It Happened (Game 1)

* Dominican scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the first inning and it turned out to be more than enough support for starting pitcher Madeline Uschock (7-5) who held the Tigers scoreless.  Uschock scattered three hits in seven innings and finished with five strikeouts to earn the victory.

* Dominican's Samantha Fitzgerald delivered a grand slam in the bottom of the fourth as she went 2-for-4 with two runs and four RBI in the game.

* Sophomore Taylor Nichols (Salisbury, Md./Parkside) along with freshmen Elaina Hansen (Mullica Hill, N.J./Clearview Regional) and Madelyn Yeager (Hatboro, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) all had hits for the Tigers.

How It Happened (Game 2)

* Holy Family lit the scoreboard first as the Tigers drove in a run in the top half of the first inning when senior Sam Klem (San Diego, Calif./Clairemont) hit a sacrifice fly to centerfield to score junior Tyler Beccari (Havertown, Pa./Haverford (Temple))

* A sixth run second inning though turned the tide and gave the Chargers a 6-1 advantage.  Samantha Fit highlighted the inning with a grand slam over the center field fence.

* Dominican tacked on a run in the third inning to make the score 7-1, before the Tigers scored with a run scoring single by freshman Ashley Remington (Collegeville, Pa./Pope John Paul II)

* Kristin Miscia hit a solo home run in the fifth inning for the Chargers and then came through with a two-run single in the bottom of the sixth to record the walk-off victory at 10-2. She finished the game 3-for-4 with two runs and four RBI.

* Nichols led the Tigers with three hits as she went a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate.  She finished the doubleheader 4-for-6.

* Dominican's Shelby Smith (3-2) earned the win as she went six innings allowing one earned run while striking out five batters.
