Nyack, N.Y. - The Holy Family University men's basketball team dropped a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest at Nyack College by the score of 60-53 on Saturday afternoon at Bowman Gymnasium.

Holy Family is now 18-9 overall and 12-6 in the CACC as the Tigers saw their three-game winning streak come to an end with the loss.  Nyack improves 10-15 overall and 8-10 in conference action.

Sophomore Turhan Griffin (Philadelphia, Pa./Franklin Learning Center) contributed eight points and four rebounds, while fellow classmate Hunter Wysocki (Colts Neck, N.J./Colts Neck) added six points (3-5 FG) and eight rebounds off the bench for the Tigers.

For Nyack, junior Nick Moore provided the Warriors with a game-high 25 points and 11 rebounds as he recorded a double-double.  Moore shot 9-of-15 from the field and was 7-of-10 from the free throw line.  Junior Chris Hampton also totaled double-figures with 17 points (7-15 FG) to go along with five rebounds. Moore and Hampton combined for 30 of the team's 47 shots in the game.

Both teams struggled from the floor in a back and forth first half as neither team shot above 33.0-percent from the field.  Nyack held the first half's biggest lead early on with an 11-5 advantage at the 14:20 mark.  From that point the half saw six different lead changes as the Tigers escaped the first half with a one point lead after Wysocki hit a jumper as time expired to give Holy Family a 23-22 halftime lead.

The second half saw nine more lead changes as Holy Family led by as many as four points at the 12:15 mark of the half.  A layup by sophomore Derrick Stewart (Philadelphia, Pa./Neumann-Goretti) made the score 39-35.

As the half progressed, Nyack would eventually grab the lead for good and pull away from the Tigers.  A three-pointer by Hampton gave the Warriors a 50-48 lead (4:37) and jump-started a 13-5 run to close out the game.   Nyack shot a perfect 6-of-6 from the free throw line in the final 1:10 minutes of the game.

Nyack shot 43.5-percent from the field in the second half and was 15-of-18 from the free throw line.  The Warriors finished the game 20-of-28 from the line.

Holy Family is back in action on Tuesday, Feb. 25 as the Tigers host Chestnut Hill College in the regular season finale on Senior Night.  Game time is slated for 8 p.m. at the Campus Center Gymnasium.  A win over the Griffins on Tuesday night will clinch the second seed in the CACC South Division and guarantee the Tigers a home quarterfinal match up in the upcoming CACC Tournament.
