Inside the Box Score

How it Happened
  • Dupouy scored the final five points in an 8-0 stretch that put HFU ahead 16-9 less than five minutes into the action
  • The Tigers then led by as many as eight, 30-22, when Coursey started and completed five unanswered for a 30-22 edge 4:54 ahead of the half
  • Caldwell came back with 12 of the next 14 points, before the two teams alternated baskets as a Howell-South layup put HFU up 37-36 entering the locker room
  • Again the Cougars used a 12-2 surge though, taking control with a 39-48 cushion just 3:13 into the half
  • A Gardler three-point play momentarily made it a six-point deficit, but the Caldwell would respond with four in a row to establish a three-possession advantage for good
