Rutherford, N.J. - The Holy Family University men's basketball team dropped its season finale to Felician College, 79-71, in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) road contest at the Job Gymnasium Friday night.

Holy Family finishes the season with a 6-21 overall record and 4-13 in the CACC. The Tigers improved from a year ago after doubling last year's win total of three. Felician improves to 14-12 overall and 10-8 in the CACC.

Junior Tim Smith (Philadelphia, Pa./Cardinal Dougherty) (Philadelphia, Pa./Cardinal Dougherty) recorded his second straight double-double after scoring a team-high 21 points and grabbing a team-best 14 rebounds. Freshman Rashaad Sneed (Durham, N.C./Hillside Heat Academy) (Durham, N.C./Hillside Heat Academy) finished with 18 points, while grabbing five boards and collecting three steals. Fellow classmate Alberto Munoz (Morrisville, N.C./Cardinal Gibbons) (Morrisville, N.C./Cardinal Gibbons) contributed 17 points and grabbed five rebounds as well.

For Felician, senior leadership led the way as a trio of Golden Falcons recorded double-doubles. Devon Young scored a game-high 28 points to lead the Felician offense to go along with 12 rebounds. Suquan Gary tallied 22 points and a team-best 13 rebounds, while Kashiff Foster added 13 points and 11 boards.

Felician led by as many as 11 points midway through the first half by the score of 20-9. However, Holy Family began chipping away at the Golden Falcons's lead and by the time the first half concluded the Tigers found themselves trailing only by three points.

Sophomore Taylor Papion (New Orleans, La./Monsignour Teurlings)'s (New Orleans, La./Monsignor Teurlings) three-pointer with nine seconds left in the half made the score 33-30 inching closer to Felician entering the locker rooms at halftime.

In the second half, Holy Family grabbed its first lead of the game when freshman Chris Gordy (Washington, D.C./Sidwell Friends) (Washington, D.C../Sidwell Friends School) scored a layup to make the score 48-47 with 11:01 on the clock.

Later in the half, Felician regained the lead after Young converted a three-point play after being fouled while scoring a layup. The play gave the Golden Falcons a 58-57 advantage with 6:10 to play in regulation.

From that point on Felician held on to the lead and eventually swelled its advantage back to double-figures with seconds remaining on the clock by the score of 79-69.

Both teams shot 40-percent from the field, however Felician held the advantage on the glass. The Golden Falcons held a 49-37 advantage in rebounds.
