PHILADELPHIA - The Holy Family University Men's Lacrosse Team scored a program 23 goals as it wrapped up its non-conference schedule with a 23-11 win at American International on Tuesday evening.
After AIC opened the contest with two scores in the first three minutes, the Tigers responded with the final 12 goals of the first half, highlighted by outscoring the Yellow Jackets 9-0 in the second quarter.
Individual Highlights
- Jake Feeney (Voorhees, N.J./Eastern) recorded a game-high 11 points, tying a career-best, on six goals and five assists
- Frank Britsch (Feasterville, Pa./Holy Ghost Preparatory School (Moravian)) won 21-of-33 faceoffs and led all players with 15 ground balls, while also scoring his first goal at HFU
- Xander Kelly (Shohola, Pa./Delaware Valley) and James Bienia (East Moriches, N.Y./Westhampton Beach) both scored five times, a career-high for the latter
- Noah Simpson (Oshawa, Ontario/Henry Street) also netted a hat trick, while joining Bienia and Matt Goff (Mays Landing, N.J./Holy Spirit) in recording multiple assists
- Jackson Brown (Cape May, N.J./Lower Cape May) topped the Tigers with three caused turnovers and notably scored his first career goal
- Logan O'Keefe (Levittown, Pa./Conwell-Egan Catholic) caused multiple turnovers as well, and was second on HFU with five ground balls
- Adam Wickel (Louisville, Ky./Trinity) saved 13 of the 16 shots that he faced
