MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Holy Family University Softball Team wrapped up its spring break trip with four games over two days on Thursday and Friday.
Gannon – 1-3 Loss
Gannon led throughout after scoring in the first in the first inning. HFU had runners reach in each of its first four at-bats, before the Golden Knights added to its lead with a two-run fifth. The Tigers brought the tying run to the plate in the sixth following a
Madison Grubb (Swedesboro, N.J./Kingsway) RBI single, and then again in the seventh, but could not score again.
Molly Moore (Conshohocken, Pa./Plymouth Whitemarsh) threw a complete game, surrendering just two earned with no walks over seven innings.
Grubb and
Rylee Hobel (Coopersburg, Pa./Southern Lehigh) both reached base twice.
Jamestown – 1-3 Loss
Holy Family struck first via
Robin Charlton's (Philadelphia, Pa./MaST Community Charter School (Hood)) RBI single in the fourth, but all three Jamestown runs came in on a double in the fifth. The Tigers brought the tying run to the plate twice in the sixth to no avail.
Olivia George (Gloucester City, N.J./Gloucester City) kept the Jimmies scoreless for the first four frames as she pitched a career-high five innings.
St. Cloud State – 2-3 Loss

HFU made it 2-2 on Grubb's leadoff triple and
Adrianna Lisotto's (Middletown, N.J./Middletown North) RBI single in the fourth, but the Tigers would leave runners on third in both the fourth and seventh, after a Charlton leadoff double, before the walk-off.
