Women’s Basketball Receives Three Major Awards; Three Selected to All-CACC Team

HFU's Taylor Hinkle (Chalfont, Pa./Central Bucks South), Bernadette Laukaitis and Ella Brown (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) received major awards, while Skyler Searfoss (Jim Thorpe, Pa./Jim Thorpe Area) and Kaelah Carter (Watervliet, N.Y./Shaker (The College of Saint Rose)) joined Hinkle on the 2025-26 All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Teams, as the league offices announced postseason honors for women's basketball on Wednesday afternoon.

Taylor Hinkle (Chalfont, Pa./Central Bucks South) – 2025-26 CACC Women's Basketball Player of the Year
Hinkle is the sixth player in program history, and the first since 2012-13, to earn Player of the Year honors. It is the third year in a row that she has garnered All-CACC First Team status, something a Tiger has not accomplished since Catherine Carr (2009-11).

The senior ended the regular season with 11.8 rebounds per game, more than two more than any other player in the conference and fourth in Division II. Her league-leading 17 double-doubles are eighth nationally.

Hinkle was also third in the CACC in free throw percentage (81.3), sixth in field goal percentage (47.2) and 10th in points per game (14.0), all of which lead  HFU.

Bernadette Laukaitis – 2025-26 CACC Athletic Solutions Women's Basketball Coach of the Year
Lauakaitis is the third coach in program history, and the first since 2012-13, to be named the CACC Coach of the Year, joining Mike McLaughlin and Mark Miller.

At 20-0, Holy Family became the eighth women's basketball team in the league's Division II era to complete its conference campaign unbeaten.

The Tigers ended the regular season leading the CACC in numerous categories, including scoring offense (70.5), scoring defense (50.6), field goal percentage defense (34.1), 3-point defense (24.5), 3-pointers per game (7.1), free throw percentage (73.1), rebounds per game (45.9), rebounding margin (+12.7) and assist to turnover ratio (1.30).

HFU notably ranks second nationally in scoring defense and rebounds per game, as well as fourth in assist to turnover ratio and fouls per game (12.3) and fifth in scoring margin (+19.9).

Ella Brown (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) – 2025-26 CACC Women's Basketball Rookie of the Year
Brown, a three-time CACC Rookie of the Week, becomes the fifth Rookie of the Year in program history, and the first since her teammate Skyler Searfoss (Jim Thorpe, Pa./Jim Thorpe Area) in 2022-23.

HFU's leader at 19.5 minutes per game off the bench, the freshman ranked third on the Tigers in field goal percentage (44.3) and free throw percentage (79.5), fourth in rebounds per game (4.6) and fifth in total points (180).

Skyler Searfoss (Jim Thorpe, Pa./Jim Thorpe Area) – 2025-26 All-CACC Third Team
Earning her third All-CACC selection, Searfoss is the first in the program to do so – along with Hinkle – since Erin Mann (2011-13).

The senior leads the conference with a 2.49 assist to turnover ratio, which ranks sixth in Division II.

She is also fourth in the league with 4.1 assists per game and second on Holy Family with 42 free throws made.

Kaelah Carter (Watervliet, N.Y./Shaker (The College of Saint Rose)) – 2025-26 All-CACC Third Team
Carter receives her first career All-CACC accolade.

The senior ranks third in the conference with 2.0 3-pointers made per game and fourth with a 33.5 3-point percentage.
