BENSALEM, Pa. - The Holy Family University Softball Team used two three-run innings to win game one, 6-4, in a doubleheader split with Felician on Monday afternoon at Bensalem High School.
Game One
Molly Moore (Conshohocken, Pa./Plymouth Whitemarsh) would strand the bases loaded in the seventh to complete 2.1 innings of scoreless relief for the junior, who earned her first career save.
Starter
Kinsley Hall (Frankford, Del./Indian River) picked up the win after tossing 4.2 frames, the first four of which she surrendered just one hit.
Jaden Kelly (West Deptford, N.J./West Deptford) led the offense with her third career three-hit performance, finishing a perfect 3-for-3 with a run scored.
Rylee Hobel (Coopersburg, Pa./Southern Lehigh) and
Adrianna Lisotto (Middletown, N.J./Middletown North) both had two base knocks, with Hobel driving in a run and Lisotto scoring one.
Both had singles in a three-run first, which was capped by
Kylee Jones' (Hulmeville, Pa./Neshaminy (Rider)) two-run homer.
Franceska Celebre (Vineland, N.J./Vineland),
Kathryn McHale (Frankford, Del./Indian River), Kelly and Hobel then all singled in a three-run fourth, the latter three of which plated runs with two outs.
The Golden Falcons scored all four of its runs in the fifth to get back into the game.
Game Two
Felician used a four-run fifth to break a tie and take control in an eventual 4-9 final.
The Tigers chipped away with an unearned run in both the fifth and sixth, bringing the tying run to the plate in the latter, but the Golden Falcons would pull away with four in the seventh.
Robin Charlton (Philadelphia, Pa./MaST Community Charter School (Hood)) went a perfect 2-for-2 with an RBI, while Hobel also reached twice.
