Parker Smith (Dover, Del./Caesar Rodney) equalized with 16 seconds remaining in regulation, and
Noah Simpson (Oshawa, Ontario/Henry Street) scored the game-winner 16 seconds into overtime, as the HFU Men's Lacrosse Team prevailed via golden goal in a second straight match with a 14-13 triumph at Dominican on Wednesday.
Matt Goff (Mays Landing, N.J./Holy Spirit) set up both scores, while
Frank Britsch (Feasterville, Pa./Holy Ghost Preparatory School (Moravian)) won the all-important faceoff to setup the Tigers with possession entering overtime.
Individual Highlights
- Britsch won 16-of-26 of faceoffs and led all players with eight ground balls
- Smith and Simpson both had three points, with Smith netting a hat trick and Simpson recording an assist
- Simpson also matched Bradley Smith (Egg Harbor Township, N.J./Egg Harbor Township) with a game-high two caused turnovers, and the two were second on HFU with four ground balls apiece
- Jake Feeney (Voorhees, N.J./Eastern) led all players with four goals, while Xander Kelly (Shohola, Pa./Delaware Valley) registered a match-high three assists
- James Bienia (East Moriches, N.Y./Westhampton Beach) had four points on three scores and an assist, while Andrew Kayes (Margate City, N.J./Holy Spirit) notably tied a career-best with three points on two goals and one assist
- Jacob Smith (Wilbraham, Mass./Wilbraham Monson Academy (AIC)) made eight saves to earn his first collegiate win

How it Happened
- Dominican opened with the first three goals in just 3:21, but HFU came back with six of the next seven as Feeney scored on either side of the first and second quarters to establish a 6-4 lead
- That was the Tigers' only goal of the second though, and the Chargers netted twice less than a minute apart midway through the period to tie things up at six entering the half
- Dominican then opened the third on a 1-4 surge for a 7-10 edge with 7:04 left in the penultimate quarter
- Holy Family closed the period with four of the final five scores though, with Bienia evening it up for a third time at 11-11 entering the fourth
- The two teams alternated goals in the fourth, with the Chargers taking a 12-13 lead with an even six minutes on the clock
