Following a 2-0 week, the HFU Men's Basketball Program received two of the three weekly awards handed out by the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC), the league announced on Monday. 
 
Matt Gardler (Broomall, Pa./Marple Newtown) was named the CACC Rookie of the Week, while Raphael Dupouy (Bordeaux, France/Central Pointe Christian Academy (Yavapai College)) was selected as the CACC Defensive Player of the Week. 
 
It is the first career CACC weekly award for both. 
 
Matt Gardler (Broomall, Pa./Marple Newtown) – CACC Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week
Gardler averaged 16.0 points, 5.5 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game. He shot 55.6 percent (10-of-18) from the field, 57.1 percent from 3-point range (8-of-14) and 80.0 percent (4-of-5) from the free throw line. 
 
The freshman began the week leading Holy Family with 17 points, five assists and a game-high three steals in Wednesday's win over Wilmington. 
 
Gardler then paced all player with six assists, while adding 15 points and five boards, as the Tigers won on the road at defending champion Bridgeport on Saturday. 
 
Raphael Dupouy (Bordeaux, France/Central Pointe Christian Academy (Yavapai College)) – CACC Men's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week
Dupouy had six blocks, 14 defensive rebounds and a steal as HFU limited opponents to 67.0 points per game on 40.7 percent shooting. 
 
The junior began the week rejecting a season-high four shots, while adding a team-best six defensive boards, in the win over the Wildcats. 
 
He then had game-highs of two blocks and eight defensive rebounds in the triumph over the Purple Knights.
