BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – The Holy Family University Women's Basketball Team outscored Bridgeport 29-13 in the first half of an eventual 54-36 victory over the Purple Knights on Saturday afternoon.
Individual Highlights
- Taylor Hinkle (Chalfont, Pa./Central Bucks South) scored 10 points more than any other player as she finished with 23 on 9-of-14 shooting, to go along with a team-high eight rebounds
- Lauren Palangio (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) was second on the Tigers with nine points and seven boards
- Amy Ngo (Fort Washington, Pa./Upper Dublin) tied a game-high with three steals, while Lola Ibarrondo (Bristol, Pa./Neshaminy) dished out a team-best four assists

- This was the fourth time this season that HFU held an opponent under 30.0 percent shooting, as well as the third time an opponent failed to reach 40 points
How it Happened
- Trailing 5-6 late into the first, HFU scored 10 of the last 12 points of the quarter, the final five of which were by Ibarrondo as her jumper established a 15-8 advantage following 10 minutes of play
- After the two teams traded baskets to begin the second, the Tigers held UB scoreless for the final 8:04 of the half and poured in the final 12 points of the period, eight of which were by Hinkle as her layup made score 29-13 entering the locker room
- The lead remained double-figures for the entirety of the second half
