Ocelia Jones (St. Elizabeth, Jamaica/Maggotty) is one of 10 student-athletes to feature on the 2025 Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area Women's Track & Field Team, which is voted on by the sports information offices of 30 institutions from the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
The junior won five gold medals during the 2025 season, highlighted by being named the 2025 East Coast Conference (ECC) Indoor Track & Field Female Athlete of the Year after playing a part in 28 points at the championships, where she won both the 60m hurdles and 4x400m relay and placed second in the 400m.
Jones then won three golds at the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Outdoor Championships, sweeping the hurdles events and anchoring the 4x400m relay, while also crossing fifth in the 100m to play a part in 34 points.
She was a four-time U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Region honoree in 2025, highlighted by earning the accolade in three events – the 100m hurdles, 400m hurdles and 4x100m relay – during the outdoor season.
Academically, Jones possesses a 3.62 cumulative grade point average as a Biology (Pre-Physical Therapy) major. She is a four-time CACC Academic Honor Roll honoree and will be named to the 2025 CACC All-Academic Team later this week.
