LAKEWOOD, N.J. – The HFU Women's Track & Field Team posted a top five finish at the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championships hosted at Georgian Court over the weekend.
- Katelyn Perazzola (Warner Robins, Ga./Mount de Sales Academy) broke an over 11-year-old school record in the 100m preliminaries, crossing in 12.24, before going on to win gold in the final in 12.27
- The sophomore also won bronze in the 200m (25.70)
- HFU picked up a total of 30 points in the hurdles, highlighted by Danalee Brock (St. Elizabeth, Jamaica/STETHS (University of Mary)) (1:02.79) and Brianna Coates (Philadelphia, Pa./Little Flower) (1:03.42) crossing one-two in the 400m event
- Ocelia Jones (St. Elizabeth, Jamaica/Maggotty) notably posted top five finishes in both
- The two relay teams placed first and second, respectively, with the 4x400m quartet of Jada Peterson (Levittown, Pa./Harry S. Truman), Brock, Coates and Jones crossing in 3:57.83
- The 4x100m relay team featuring Naomi Long (Queens, N.Y./World Journalism Preparatory), Brock, Peterson and Perazzola won silver in 48.58
- Peterson finished fourth in the 800m, in 2:25.73, for five points
- JaTera Sutton (Philadelphia, Pa./Little Flower Catholic) earned two points with a seventh place finish in the discus (27.66m), while Oliwia Moyer (Cinnaminson, N.J./Cinnaminson) picked up a point by crossing eighth in the 10000m (49:01.20)
