PHILADELPHIA – The Holy Family University women's lacrosse team celebrated Senior Day with a 19-7 win over Felician on Saturday afternoon at Tiger Field.
Prior the contest, HFU honored the Senior Class of
Payton Pugh (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert Catholic) and
Rianna Shields (Richboro, Pa./Council Rock South), as welling as returning graduate student
Tori Wolstenholme (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert Catholic).
All three netted a hat trick and had at least one assist, with Pugh's four points tying a career best.
Individual Highlights
- Shields, who became the program's all-time leader in points last week, led all players with six goals to become the program's all-time leader with 191
- She also had three assists to move into sixth in program history with 40, tied a game-high with four ground balls, and was second with three caused turnovers
- Wolstenholme had game-highs of 10 draw controls, a career-best six caused turnovers and four ground balls
- She now ranks tied for third in program history with 51 assists
- Taina Harkins (Hopewell, N.J./Hopewell Valley Central) led all players with a career-best five assists and added two goals to tie a career-high with seven points
- Lexi Ryan (Bensalem, Pa./Bensalem) had the game's second highest total with five draw controls and recorded a season-best four points on three assists and a goal
- Julie Gallardo (North Brunswick, N.J./North Brunswick Township) and Gwen Varley (East Earl, Pa./Garden Spot) both had had a season-high three points
- Nicole Wiser (Langhorne, Pa./Villa Joseph Marie) earned the win in net
