PHILADELPHIA – The HFU baseball team bounced back from a 6-7 loss to dominate Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACCC) leader Dominican, 12-1, in game two on Wednesday at FDR Park.
Individual Highlights
- Casey Murphy (Merion Station, Pa./Lower Merion (Ursinus College)) allowed just one run on three hits, with six strikeouts against no walks, in a complete game effort to improve to 5-4
- Nick Lombardo (Willow Grove, Pa./Upper Dublin (Bucks County CC)) reached base three times in both games, finishing the doubleheader 5-for-7 with five RBI, two runs, a double and a walk
- Brian Comer (Charlotte, N.C./Independence (Bucks County CC)) and Andy Rivera (Silver Spring, Md./Woodrow Wilson (Montgomery College)) each had multiple hits in both games, with Comer going 5-for-9 with two runs and an RBI and Rivera finishing 4-for-8 with four runs, four RBI, a home run, double and walk
- Jalen David (Bronx, N.Y./St. Raymond) reached base multiple times in both games, going 3-for-7 with three runs, two walks and a double
- Emidio Bucci (Gambrills, Md./Loyola Blakefield (York College)) was 2-for-3 with a run and hit-by-pitch, while Marc Garcia (Coatesville, Pa./Coatesville Area Senior (Keystone College)) scored three times, in the nightcap

Game Two
- Holy Family led throughout following a four-run first, as it scored all 12 of its runs in its first four at-bats
Game One
- HFU overcame a 2-4 deficit with a three-run sixth that featured three consecutive hits from Rivera (double), David (single) and Lombardo (RBI single) and RBIs from Garrison Pregulman (Scottsdale, Ariz./Chaparral (Los Angelas Pierce College)) and Jephson Hadson-Taylor (Cheltenham, Pa./La Salle College (University of Maine))
- The Tigers then made it 6-4 on David's two-out double in the seventh, which plated pinch-runner Gino Serechia (Hammonton, N.J./Hammonton (Shepherd University)) after a Stefan Leo (Golden, Colo./Golden Senior (Porterville CC)) pinch-hit single, but Dominican hit a three-run homer in the eighth
- Pregulman led off the bottom-half with a hit-by-pitch, and HFU had the tying run reach third in the ninth following a Garcia walk, but the Tigers could not equalize
