Men’s Lacrosse Pulls Away from Felician on Senior Day

 PHILADELPHIA – The HFU men's lacrosse team scored the final six goals of the third quarter to pull away for an eventual 18-12 victory over Felician at Tiger Field on Saturday afternoon. 
 
Prior to the game, Holy Family honored the senior class of Daniel Fierimonte (Philadelphia, Pa./Father Judge) and Timmy Tran (Philadelphia, Pa./Harry S. Truman).  
 
The Tigers then began the action with the first five goals, with two each by Xander Kelly (Shohola, Pa./Delaware Valley) and Nick Gargan (Egg Harbor Township, N.J./Egg Harbor Township), highlighted by a 4-0 first period. 
 
The Golden Falcons got as close as 7-8 4:17 into the third quarter before HFU pulled away, with Jake Feeney (Voorhees, N.J./Eastern) playing a part in four of the six unanswered. 
 
Individual Highlights
  • Feeney led all players with eight points and five assists as he also recorded a hat trick
  • Noah Simpson (Oshawa, Ontario/Henry Street) tied a game-high with four goals, adding two assists, with Kelly also netting a hat trick
  • Logan O'Keefe (Levittown, Pa./Conwell-Egan Catholic) led all players in caused turnovers, recording a season-best four for the third game in a row, and he, Kelly, John Henson (Chalfont, Pa./Central Bucks South) and Jackson Brown (Cape May, N.J./Lower Cape May) were all second on HFU with three ground balls apiece
  • James Bienia (East Moriches, N.Y./Westhampton Beach) had a team-high five ground balls, to go along with four points on two goals and two assist
  • Gargan and Jhay Dameus (Willingboro, N.J./Holy Cross Preparatory Academy) also recorded braces
  • Jacob Turk (Yardley, Pa./Conwell-Egan Catholic) was second on the Tigers with three caused turnovers
  • James Demakopoulos (Carle Place, N.Y./Carle Place) fell on save shy of a season-best with 20

  • Holy Family held a 14-2 advantage in caused turnovers and had more than double the amount of saves, 20-9
