PHILADELPHIA – The Holy Family University baseball team held a 3-2 lead entering the seventh and final inning of game two, only for nationally-ranked Jefferson to rally for a 3-4 walk-off victory on Saturday afternoon.
The Tigers plated a run in three of their first four at-bats, and
Christian Culver (Croydon, Pa./Harry S. Truman (Bucks County CC)) held the Rams scoreless for five consecutive frames entering the seventh.
The first out was recorded, but a hit-by-pitch and two errors tied the score at 3-3.
A single and intentional walk then loaded the bases for the walk-off fielder's choice.
