How it Happened
Game One
- HFU scored twice in each of its first two at-bats, as Comer led off the doubleheader with his inside the parker before driving in another in the second, but Caldwell responded with three runs in the bottom-half both times, and the Tigers could never cut the deficit back to one
- This was despite Holy Family advancing the tying run into scoring position in the ninth
- Trailing 8-12, Stefan Leo (Golden, Colo./Golden Senior (Porterville CC)) led off with a walk and after the first out, Comer singled
- Shahin made it a three-run game with a sacrifice fly, and Nick Lombardo (Willow Grove, Pa./Upper Dublin (Bucks County CC)) singled to bring the tying run to the plate
- Garcia extended the contest with an RBI single and then stole second, but the Cougars were able to get the final out
Game Two
- Holy Family took advantage of two errors to open the scoring, but Caldwell plated three in the bottom-half yet again
- The Tigers got as close as 3-4 in the fourth when Garcia and Jalen David (Bronx, N.Y./St. Raymond) manufactured runs with stolen bases, but the Cougars were quick to respond, cancelling out the two runs in the bottom-half
- HFU brought the tying run to the plate in the seventh, with five of the first six Tigers reaching, but the Cougars escaped again for the sweep
