Men’s Lacrosse Defeats UDC 19-3 for Fourth Straight Win

PHILADELPHIA – The Holy Family University men's lacrosse team scored the first eight goals en route to a 19-3 win over District of Columbia at Tiger Field on Saturday afternoon. 
 
Individual Highlights
  • Noah Simpson (Oshawa, Ontario/Henry Street) led all players with season-bests of six points, four goals and three caused turnovers
    • Xander Kelly (Shohola, Pa./Delaware Valley) had six points and four goals too, while John Henson (Chalfont, Pa./Central Bucks South) also had a season-high three caused turnovers and was second on HFU with a season-best five ground balls
  • Jayden Williams (Mays Landing, N.J./Atlantic County Institute of Technology) posted game-highs of 13 faceoff wins and eight ground balls, both of which were season-bests
  • Jake Feeney (Voorhees, N.J./Eastern) had four points on two goals and two assists, while Adam Camille (Providence, R.I./La Salle Academy) tied a career-best with a game-high three assists
  •  James Demakopoulos (Carle Place, N.Y./Carle Place) stopped six of the eight shots he faced to earn a fourth consecutive win, while Jacob Smith (Wilbraham, Mass./Wilbraham Monson Academy (AIC)) made three saves on three attempts 
  • Jhay Dameus (Willingboro, N.J./Holy Cross Preparatory Academy), James Bienia (East Moriches, N.Y./Westhampton Beach) and Julian Definis (Glendora, N.J./Triton Regional) all had multiple points, with Bienia adding five ground balls
  • Bradley Smith (Egg Harbor Township, N.J./Egg Harbor Township) was second on the Tigers with three faceoff wins and joined Nick Gargan (Egg Harbor Township, N.J./Egg Harbor Township) in causing multiple turnovers
