BENSALEM, Pa. – The Holy Family University softball team overcame two deficits in game two to secure a Senior Day sweep of Bloomfield, 6-0 and 11-10, on Saturday afternoon at Bensalem High School.
Prior to the game, the Tigers honored the senior class of

Lauren Hagy (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan),
Rylee Hobel (Coopersburg, Pa./Southern Lehigh),
Kylee Jones (Hulmeville, Pa./Neshaminy (Rider)),
Alexis Letizia (Toms River, N.J./Donovan Catholic),
Carlie Miller (Hermitage, Pa./Hickory),
Erin Stilton (Jackson, N.J./Jackson Liberty) and
Gabrielle Wiley (Willow Grove, Pa./Upper Moreland).
Trailing 9-10 entering the bottom of the sixth, Letizia led off with a single and Ciasullo followed with a home run to put HFU back ahead.
Molly Moore (Conshohocken, Pa./Plymouth Whitemarsh) then came out for a 1-2-3 seventh, which ended on an outfield assist by left fielder
Lily Hoban (Millsboro, Del./Indian River), to complete 2.2 innings of perfect relief and improve to 6-3.
Individual Highlights
- That was Ciasullo's third two-run home run of the day, as she now is tied for a program record with 29 homers while ranking second with 96 RBI
- Jones had two hits in both games, finishing the doubleheader 4-for-7 with a triple, double, two runs and an RBI
- Hoban recorded her second consecutive three-hit game in the nightcap, scoring two runs and doubling, while Stilton hit her second career home run as part of a 2-for-4 performance that featured three RBI
- Letizia had two hits, a double, run and RBI in the opener
- Game one starter Kinsley Hall (Frankford, Del./Indian River) did not allow a runner to reach third base as she retired the final 12 she faced en route to her third shutout of the year
- She surrendered just two hits and struck out eight, against one walk, to move into sixth in program history with 199 career strikeouts
How it Happened
Game One
- Following a scoreless first, Holy Family plated the eventual game-winning run on Calyborne's second inning single
Game Two
- Bloomfield answered HFU's three-run third with six unearned runs in the second, only for the Tigers to strike back with a five-run bottom-half capped by Ciasullo's first home run
- Holy Family made it 9-7 on a Hobel sacrifice fly in the third, before the Bears regained the lead with a three-run fifth
