How it Happened
Game One
- Holy Family overcame a five-run CHC first, coming all the way back to go ahead 7-6 on a Hadson-Taylor single in the sixth
- Both teams plated one in the seventh, before the Tigers appeared to take control with a four-run eighth that was highlighted by McKenzie's three-run homer
- Down to their last out, the Griffins tied it up at 12 on a three-run home run of their own
- Holy Family had two runners reach in the bottom-half to no avail, before Hunter Kraiza (Havertown, Pa./Haverford (Cabrini University)) was able to strand the bases loaded in the 10th
- The Tigers could never threaten in extra innings though, and all six runs to come home in the 12th were unearned
Game Two
- HFU erased CHC's first inning run with hits by Dalton Turner (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy (Bucks County CC)) (single), Stefan Leo (Golden, Colo./Golden Senior (Porterville CC)) (double) and Mote (single) in the second, which finished on an inning-ending double play
- Murphy left runners in scoring position in both the fourth and fifth, but the Griffins broke through back-to-back two-out hits in the sixth leading to three runs, one of which was unearned
- The Tigers brought the tying run to the plate thanks to a Mote single and error, but Chestnut Hill ended the threat to secure the sweep
