PHILADELPHIA – The No. 22 Holy Family University women's basketball team celebrated Senior Day with a 75-52 wire-to-wire win over Wilmington on Saturday afternoon inside of the Campus Center.
Prior to the game, the Tigers honored the senior class of
Ava Morrow (Morgantown, Pa./Twin Valley),
Jessica Riepe (Marlboro, N.J./Marlboro),
Carolyn Prevost (Belle Mead, N.J./Montgomery) and manager Sage McKay.
Once the action began, HFU never looked back as
Taylor Hinkle (Chalfont, Pa./Central Bucks South) and
Lola Ibarrondo (Bristol, Pa./Neshaminy) combined to score 11 of the first 15 points.
Individual Highlights
- Prevost led all players with 10 rebounds and a career-best four steals, while Riepe was in double-figures with 11 points
- Hinkle had a team-high 15 points on 6-of-9 field goals, while falling one board shy of a double-double
- Amy Ngo (Fort Washington, Pa./Upper Dublin) led all players with a season-best nine assists and added three steals
- Lauren Palangio (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) also fell one rebound shy of a double-double, the first of her career, as she scored 11 points on 4-of-5 shooting
- Kaelah Carter (Watervliet, N.Y./Shaker (The College of Saint Rose)) made it four Tigers in double-figures as she finished with 10 points on 4-of-6 field goals
