PHILADELPHIA – The Holy Family University Women's Basketball Team nearly doubled up Chestnut Hill in the second quarter, 25-13, in an eventual 74-64 victory over the Griffins on Tuesday evening.
Individual Highlights
- Taylor Hinkle (Chalfont, Pa./Central Bucks South) posted her sixth double-double in eight games with 15 points on 6-of-8 shooting and a game-high 14 rebounds
- Kaelah Carter (Watervliet, N.Y./Shaker (The College of Saint Rose)) led the Tigers with 23 points, highlighted by making 7-of-11 3-pointers
- Amy Ngo (Fort Washington, Pa./Upper Dublin) topped all players with six assists
- Kara Meredith (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Archbishop Wood) and Ella Brown (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) were also in double-figures with 12 points apiece, a new season-best for the latter as she made 6-of-7 field goals

- Chestnut Hill took its lone lead at 10-12 less than four minutes into the action, only to have Hinkle both start and end eight unanswered to put HFU ahead for good
- She then capped a 13-2 stretch with a jumper for a 23-14 advantage in the final seconds of the first quarter
- Carter made three 3-pointers in the opening 2:39 of the second, and she later capped seven unanswered with another triple that established a 48-26 cushion with an even minute remaining in the half
- The Griffins got as close as nine twice in the second half but could never make it a two-possession game
