Kaelah Carter's (Watervliet, N.Y./Shaker (The College of Saint Rose)) 3-pointer with 52 seconds left was the difference in HFU Women's Basketball's 54-41 victory over UPR-Bayamon in the Tigers' first game of the Puerto Rico Classic on Sunday.
The entirety of the fourth quarter was played within a single possession with seven lead changes and five ties.
Carter's 3-pointer came with Holy Family trailing 50-51.
She would then secure the defensive rebound on a stop, and following an
Amy Ngo (Fort Washington, Pa./Upper Dublin) free throw, the Cowboys would miss a potential tying triple at the buzzer.

- Carter was one of three Tigers to finish in double-figures as she scored 12 points
- Skyler Searfoss (Jim Thorpe, Pa./Jim Thorpe Area) led Holy Family with 14 points, including making 4-of-5 field goals

How it Happened
- Bayamon led by five three times in the first quarter, including after closing the scoring for a 10-15 edge
- Holy Family would open the second with the first eight points, both beginning and ending with baskets by Dougherty
- The Tigers would then close the period with the final five points, beginning with a Carter trifecta, for a 34-29 cushion entering the locker room
- That cushion reached as large as 10, 41-31, on a Searfoss three-point play with 5:14 left in the third
- The Cowboys would respond with 11 unanswered though, before a Searfoss foul shot even the score entering the fourth
