PHILADELPHIA – The HFU women's soccer team wrapped up its non-conference schedule with a tightly contested 0-1 loss to East Stroudsburg on Tuesday night at Tiger Field.
Kenna Rozanski (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Lower Moreland) nearly scored from outside of the box for the second match in a row, forcing a diving save just 5:49 in.
After a goal-line clearance by
Karli Farrell (Philadelpiha, Pa./Pre-Physical Therapy) and a
Jaina Preuhs (Brookhaven, Pa./Sun Valley) stop less than two minutes apart in the 15th and 17th, the Warriors broke through with the eventual-game winner in the 21st.
Rozanski shot on net again just over six minutes later, but that would be the last time Holy Family could threaten ESU's frame.
Bridget Dickson (Somerdale, N.J./Sterling) shot wide 6:20 out of the break and following two more Preuhs saves,
Katelyn Perazzola (Warner Robins, Ga./Mount de Sales Academy) narrowly missed equalizing in 87th minute.
