PHILADELPHIA – The HFU volleyball team swept Chestnut Hill (25-16, 25-22, 25-20) on Wednesday evening inside of the Campus Center to pick up its third win in six days.
Individual Highlights
- Mackenzie Layton (Clarksboro, N.J./Kingsway Regional) led all players with 11 kills on .444 hitting and three service aces
- Morgan Marziani-Radomski (Aurora, Ill./West Aurora) tied a match-best with 11 digs and added two aces
- Mia Wise (Genoa, Ill./Genoa-Kingston) led all players with 28 assists and tied Ava Kidd (Walton, Ky./Larry A. Ryle (Saint Anselm)) for a team-high with three blocks, tying a season-best
- Kidd added nine kills on .368 hitting, while Kalia Espenlaub (New Market, Md./Saint John's Catholic Prep (Millersville)) contributed six kills on .364 hitting
- Shelby Kinzer (Sioux Falls, S.D./Washington) also had three aces, while Cadence Palmer (Holland, Pa./Council Rock South) was second on the Tigers with nine digs

- Holy Family outhit CHC .250-.097, had double the amount of blocks (8-4) and also held a significant edge in digs (41-26)
How it Happened
- Holy Family trailed just once in the first set, at 0-1, and eventually broke a 7-7 with four successive points that were capped by a Kidd kill and Kinzer ace
- The Tigers were down by as many as five in the second, 9-14, and were still trailing 15-18 prior to an 8-1 run that was aided by five CHC errors
- HFU again trialed just once - at 0-1 - in the third, before taking the lead for good with five consecutive points, three of which were kills by Layton
