DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – The HFU women's soccer team's three goals were the most nationally-ranked Mercy has conceded since its 2024 season-opener, but it was not enough in a 3-6 loss to the Mavericks on Wednesday evening.
Bridget Dickson (Somerdale, N.J./Sterling) netted her first collegiate brace, including opening the scoring less than eight minutes in, as she now leads the Tigers with five goals this season.
Holy Family cut a 1-4 deficit to one, beginning with
Gianna Georgette's (Cochranville, Pa./Octorara Area) first collegiate goal just a minute before halftime.
The freshman then assisted Dickson 4:10 out of the break for her first collegiate two-goal involvement performance.
Mercy took just 16 seconds to respond though, before closing out the scoring in the 83rd minute.
Gigi Conlan (Queens, N.Y./St. John's Preparatory School) set up Dickson's first score, as she is now tied with Georgette for the team lead with two assists.
Bella Scurci (Selbyville, Del./Indian River) and
Jessica Wojnar (Cinnaminson, N.J./Holy Cross Preparatory Academy) picked up assists on Georgette's goal, notably the first of latter's career.
Hannah LaBadie (Penndel, Pa./Neshaminy) got the start in net and notably made a career-high 14 saves.
