PHILADELPHIA – The Holy Family University men's soccer team outshot Georgian Court 13-2 in the second half, including registering the final seven, and 13 of the final 14, attempts, but it was the Lions coming away with a 0-1 win on Tuesday night at Tiger Field.
GCU converted its only second period attempt on target 2:34 out of the break for the match's only goal.
Jarrett Lalli (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) and
Corey Yorke (Orange, N.J./) both shot on net in the five minutes after, but despite numerous opportunities, HFU could not threaten the frame again.
The Tigers held a 21-11 advantage in attempts on the night.
Tajhay Williams (Yallahs, Jamaica/Clarendon College) and
Sergio Revuelta (Valladolid, Spain/IES Alejandria) tied a match-high with five shots, with Williams registering HFU's other attempt on target.
Luke Shank (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks West) made all five of his saves in the opening 29:37, including four in a 4:17 stretch between the 10th and 14th minutes.
