CALDWELL, N.J. – Despite registering more shots on goal, the HFU men's soccer team fell 0-2 at Caldwell in its Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) opener on Saturday afternoon.
The Tigers had the first five attempts, all of which were on target in the opening 19:40, but it was Caldwell finding the net 3:30 ahead of the half.
Holy Family continued to threaten as four of its six second half shots were also on frame, but the Tigers could not break through and the Cougars made it 0-2 three and a half minutes prior to the final whistle.
Georgios Kazantzioglou (Athens, Greece/The Phelps School) led all players with four attempts and three shots on net, while
Joshua Moreland (Blackwood, N.J./Sterling) also threatened the net twice.
Luke Shank (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks West) made five saves.
