PHILADELPHIA – The HFU women's soccer team opened its Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) campaign with a 3-0 shutout of Lincoln on Wednesday night at Tiger Field.
The Lions had the first two attempts, forcing
Hannah LaBadie (Penndel, Pa./Neshaminy) into two stops, but it was all HFU from there as they registered 9 of the final 10 of the first half.
Shortly after
Allison Loper (Bensalem, Pa./Nazareth Academy (Georgian Court)) forced a save for the first time just over 15 minutes in, it was
Rebecca Casper (Mullica Hill, N.J./Clearview Regional) playing
Lailia Solomon (Somerdale, N.J./Sterling) in behind, and she calmy beat the keeper for her first career goal in the 21st.
Lexi Murphy (Woolwich Township, N.J./Kingsway Regional (Saint Francis U)) made it 2-0 with just under seven minutes remaining in the first half, as this time it was
Maura Kilkenny (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Little Flower) playing the ball in behind. The senior now leads HFU with two goals on the year.
Maddie Maguire (Sewell, N.J./Nazareth Academy (Rider)) closed out the scoring a with a long-range free kick from the right sideline in the penultimate minute for her first goal of the season.
LaBadie earned her first win at Holy Family, making three saves.

The Tigers more than doubled up Lincoln in shots, 15-7, on the night.
