PHILADELPHIA – The Holy Family University women's soccer hosted Southern Connecticut State on Tuesday evening at Tiger Field, with the Owls scoring twice on either side of halftime for a 0-4 final.
Jaina Preuhs (Brookhaven, Pa./Sun Valley) stopped the first shot she saw, but SCSU would get on the board with a solo effort in the 10th minute.
Allison Loper (Bensalem, Pa./Nazareth Academy (Georgian Court)) attempted to equalized but was denied, and the Owls made it 0-2 in the 18th.
Maura Kilkenny (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Little Flower),
Alyssa Hooten (Pocono Summit, Pa./Pocono Mountain East) and
Brooke Del Toro (Edgewater Park, N.J./Burlington City) all shot on net in the defeat, while Preuhs made five saves and
Hannah LaBadie (Penndel, Pa./Neshaminy) came off the bench to make another four.
