HOCKESSIN, Del. – The Holy Family University baseball team took a first inning lead, but Goldey-Beacom responded with a six-run bottom-half en route to a 3-14 win over the Tigers on Tuesday afternoon.
Nick Lombardo's (Willow Grove, Pa./Upper Dublin (Bucks County CC)) leadoff bunt single and stolen base led to HFU opening the scoring following an error and
Zach Morales' (Barrington, N.J./Triton Regional (PSU-Abington)) RBI groundout, but the Lightning went on to tally five two-out runs in the bottom-half.
Individual Highlights
- Jon Martinez (Camden, N.J./Timber Creek Regional (Camden CC)) reached twice via two base on balls, while also scoring a run and driving in another
- Morales scored in addition to his RBI as well
- Dalton Turner (Langorne, Pa./Neshaminy (Bucks County CC)) drove in the Tigers' other run, while Matt Azzarano (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) notably tripled
