How it Happened
First Game
- Goldey-Beacom took advantage of an error to plate one unearned run in the three-run first, but HFU had an immediate response in the form of Lombardo's homer, which came after Morales' two-out double
- Williams entered with one out in the second and stranded two, with Bucci throwing out a base-stealer
- Holy Family loaded the bases in the bottom-half on a Matt Azzarano (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) single, Aidan Crean (Philadelphia, Pa./Abraham Lincoln (Camden CC)) walk and Gino Serechia (Hammonton, N.J./Hammonton (Shepherd University)) hit-by-pitch, eventually tying the score on Morales' infield single
- The Tigers then scored the eventual game-winning in the fourth, after Williams picked off two to escape trouble in the third
- Crean singled with one out and stole two bases, coming in on an errant throw on the second
- Holy Family added insurance in the fifth thanks to singles by Lombardo, Turner and Alex Camilo (Cambridge, Ontario/Monsignor Doyle (Alliance University))
- Williams continued to escape pressure, leaving runners in scoring position in the fifth, sixth and seventh
- Kuhta and Murphy worked hitless eighth and ninths
