How it Happened
First Game

  • Letizia doubled the advantage with an RBI single in the third, driving in Kelly after she had singled and stolen a base
  • After CHC cut the deficit in half in the fourth, HFU pulled away with five runs across the fourth and fifth highlighted by a Letizia two-RBI single and a Kylee Jones (Hulmeville, Pa./Neshaminy (Rider)) two-run homer
Second Game
  • Scoreless through fourth, Holy Family answered the Griffin's fifth inning run with a nine-run bottom-half
    • 13 Tigers went to the plate beginning with Molly Moore's (Conshohocken, Pa./Plymouth Whitemarsh) single
    • Following a Hobel single and Kelly walk, Letizia came through with what turned out to be the game-winning two-RBI single
    • Lily Hoban (Millsboro, Del./Indian River) and Jones added RBI singles, the latter of which drove in two, while Carlie Miller (Hermitage, Pa./Hickory) and Gina Olivieri (Philadelphia, Pa./Philadelphia Charter School) drew base on balls
