How it Happened
Second Game
- Dalton Turner's (Langorne, Pa./Neshaminy (Bucks County CC)) leadoff walk in the fifth started the comeback, as back-to-back hits by Emidio Bucci (Gambrills, Md./Loyola Blakefield (York College)) (single) and Pregulman (double) got HFU on the board
- Nick Lombardo (Willow Grove, Pa./Upper Dublin (Bucks County CC)) then made it 2-3 with a sacrifice fly
- Starter Jelle Bing (Heerhugowaard, Netherlands/CSG Jan Arentsz (McCrook CC)) and Kuhta combined for a scoreless bottom-half, allowing the Tigers to go ahead with a three-run sixth
- It began with an error and following a Morales single, Stefan Leo's (Golden, Colo./Golden Senior (Porterville CC)) RBI fielder's choice tied it at 3-3
- After a catcher's interference and the second out, Pregulman broke the deadlock with a two-RBI double
- Holy Family added important insurance via a Morales two-RBI double in the seventh, as Dominican plated two in the bottom-half
- Lombardo led off with a hit-by-pitch and following a Brian Comer (Charlotte, N.C./Independence (Bucks County CC)) sacrifice bunt, a Gino Serechia (Hammonton, N.J./Hammonton (Shepherd University)) single set the stage for Morales
First Game
- Five straight Chargers reached in the three-run first, but HFU chipped away with second and fourth inning runs
- Morales led off both frames with a hit as he eventually came around to score on a Turner single in the second and Alex Camilo (Cambridge, Ontario/Monsignor Doyle (Alliance University)) single in the fourth
- Dominican had an answer with a two-run bottom-half though, and the Tigers stranded the bases loaded in the fifth despite four straight reaching with two away
- Jon Martinez (Camden, N.J./Timber Creek Regional (Camden CC)) was hit by a pitch after a Morales single and Dylan Mercedes (Washington Heights, N.Y./St. Raymonds (Mansfield University)) walk, Turner drew a bases loaded base on balls
- The Chargers carried the momentum into the bottom-half, plating two more
