Holy Family University track & field received three of the four weekly awards from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) after competing at Widener's Paul Donahue over the weekend.
Nishorn Pierre (Grenada/Jamaica College) and
J'kwann Hamilton (Smithville, Jamaica/Edwin Allen (New Mexico Highlands University)) have now won their respective awards twice this season, while
Kouto Anyika (Philadelphia, Pa./Pennwood) is a first-time honoree in 2024.
Nishorn Pierre (Grenada/Jamaica College) – CACC Field Athlete of the Week
Pierre medaled in all three jumping events, highlighted by winning the high jump with an NCAA provisional of 2.12m to move atop the CACC and into 16th in Division II.
He also set an NCAA provisional in the triple jump, 14.81m, to place second behind teammate
Odane Smith (Saint Catherine, Jamaica/Edwin Allen), while marking second out of 59 in the long jump with a distance of 6.80m.
J'kwann Hamilton (Smithville, Jamaica/Edwin Allen (New Mexico Highlands University)) – CACC Track Rookie of the Week
Hamilton won bronze in 400m hurdles, moving into second in the CACC behind teammate
Terrence Jones (East Orange, N.J./William Allen/LCTI) with a time of 54.81.
The freshman was also a part of the 4x400m relay team that won with the fastest time, 3:17.46, in the CACC this season.
Kouto Anyika (Philadelphia, Pa./Pennwood) – CACC Track Athlete of the Week
Anyika topped a field of 108 in the 400m, breaking his own school record, 46.89, to move into a tie for ninth in Division II.
He too was part of the 4x400m relay team.
