PITTSBURG, Kan. – Holy Family's
Kouto Anyika (Philadelphia, Pa./Pennwood) and
Nishorn Pierre (Grenada/Jamaica College) both earned All-America honors at the 2024 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Pittsburg State on Friday and Saturday.
Anyika qualified for the 400m final with the fastest time amongst 16 entries, crossing in 47.01 to break his own school record with what at that point was the fourth best time in Division II all season.
In the final, the sophomore would cross in 52.04.
Pierre earned his third All-America honor, previously doing so in the high jump at the 2022 Outdoor and 2023 Indoor Championships, with a ninth-place finish.
After clearing his first attempt at both 2.03m and 2.08m, the junior came through on his final attempt at 2.13m to secure the solo ninth performance.
