LAKEWOOD, N.J. – The HFU women's lacrosse team hung tough with Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) power Georgian Court in the first half, but the Lions would pull away for an 8-20 win on Tuesday.
The two teams traded goals until GCU tallied three in a row to end the first and begin the second, with the third putting the Lions ahead 3-6 1:17 into the second quarter

Holy Family got as close as 5-6 with back-to-back scores by
Maura Kilkenny (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Little Flower Catholic) but the Tigers could never tie it, despite another Kilkenny goal cutting the deficit to 6-8 with 3:56 left in the first half.
The Lions would answer with a tally just 18 seconds before the break, before going on to score the first six goals of the third period.
Individual Highlights
- Kilkenny led all players with six goals and six ground balls and added a point for seven points, all career-highs
- Tori Wolstenholme (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert Catholic) paced HFU with a career-best nine draw controls to become the fourth student-athlete in program history to surpass 200
- Wolstenholme also matched Rianna Shields (Richboro, Pa./Council Rock South) with a game-high two caused turnovers and was second on the Tigers with five ground balls
