Women’s Lacrosse Closes Non-Conference Against Nationally-Ranked Kutztown

PHILADELPHIA – The HFU women's lacrosse team wrapped up its non-conference schedule against No. 17 Kutztown on Saturday afternoon at Tiger Field, scoring three of the first four goals in the second quarter of an eventual 7-18 loss. 
 
Holy Family responded nicely after a 0-7 first quarter, but the Golden Bears would close the first half with the final four scores. 
 
Individual Highlights
  • Maura Kilkenny (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Little Flower Catholic) led all players with a career-best four caused turnovers and five ground balls, while Tori Wolstenholme (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert Catholic) matched a game-high with six draw controls
  • Rianna Shields (Richboro, Pa./Council Rock South) netted her second hat trick of the season and was second on the Tigers with two caused turnovers
  • Payton Pugh (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert Catholic) also had two caused turnovers, while finishing second on HFU with five draw controls
    • She is now tied for second in the program's single-season history with 31 caused turnovers on the year, while Wolstenholme moved into a tie for sixth with 23 
  • Wolstenholme, Shields, Pugh and Symia Brazleton (Burlington, N.J./Burlington City) were all second on the Tigers with two ground balls apiece
