Holy Family Uses Fast Start to Pick Up First CACC Victory

PHILADELPHIA – The Holy Family University women's lacrosse team scored the first six goals and outscored Post 7-1 in the first quarter of an eventual 17-10 victory over the Eagles on Saturday at Tiger Field. 
 
 Rianna Shields (Richboro, Pa./Council Rock South) netted three of the goals in the opening run, all in the first 12:11, before Payton Pugh (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert Catholic) scored her second to cap the first period. 
 
Post could never get closer than four from that point on. 
 
Individual Highlights
  •  Tori Wolstenholme (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert Catholic) led all players with a career-high five goals and a season-best five draw controls
    • She caused two turnovers to move into second in program history with 67 for her career
  • Maura Kilkenny (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Little Flower Catholic) also had five draw controls, to go along with game-highs of six points and three assists, both of which were new career-bests
  • Shields had season-highs of three goals and two assists
  • Pugh made it four Tigers with hat tricks, which tied her career-best in goals, while leading HFU with three caused turnovers
  • Taina Harkins (Hopewell, N.J./Hopewell Valley Central) had three caused turnovers too, to go along with season-bests of a team-high four ground balls and two assists
  • Olivia Kueny (West Deptford, N.J./Holy Cross Preparatory Academy) stopped 17 of the 27 shots she faced, a new season-high, to earn her second consecutive win
