Women’s Lacrosse Opens Road Schedule at Millersville

PHILADELPHIA – The Holy Family University women's lacrosse team opened its road schedule with a 6-19 loss at Millersville on Saturday afternoon. 
 
Paige Affet (Philadelphia, Pa./Little Flower Catholic) and Maura Kilkenny (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Little Flower Catholic) cut the deficit to 1-3 and 2-4, respectively, after Millersville tallied the first three goals of the game, but the Marauders closed the first half with the final 10 scores to take a 2-14 lead into the break. 
 
Individual Highlights
  • Kilkenny led all players with a career-high seven draw controls, while recording her second hat trick of the season
  • Payton Pugh (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert Catholic) recorded match-highs of five ground balls and three caused turnovers, while finishing second on the Tigers with four draw controls
    • The junior is now sixth in program history with 53 career caused turnovers
  • Kilkenny, Abbie D'Ambra (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill West) and Tori Wolstenholme (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert Catholic) all finished second on the Tigers with two caused turnovers apiece
    • Wolstenholme is now tied for fourth all-time with 54 career caused turnovers, while her 182 draw controls now rank fifth
  • Olivia Kueny (West Deptford, N.J./Holy Cross Preparatory Academy) matched Pugh with five ground balls, while making eight saves in net
  • Freshman Jaci Campbell (Philadelphia, Pa./New Foundations Charter School) notably scored the first goal of her career
