WEST CALDWELL, N.J. – Holy Family University men's lacrosse played its first-ever Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest on Saturday, falling at Caldwell 8-18.
Back-to-back goals by
Adam Camille (Providence, R.I./La Salle Academy) and
Jhay Dameus (Willingboro, N.J./Holy Cross Preparatory Academy) put the Tigers ahead it 2-1 9:12 into the action, and
Brent McColligan (Bellmawr, N.J./Triton Regional) equalized at 3-3 going into the second, but the Cougars would win the second quarter 1-7 to take control.
Individual Highlights
- McColligan led HFU with four points on season-highs of two goals and two assists
- Trey Rorer (Philadelphia, Pa./Northeast (Immaculata)) topped the Tigers with five ground balls, while Timmy Tran (Philadelphia, Pa./Harry S. Truman), James Bienia (East Moriches, N.Y./Westhampton Beach) and Ben Blair (Rochester, N.Y./Penfield) all finished second with four
- Camille and Maxx Covely (Somerdale, N.J./Highland) each finished with two points via a score and an assist, while Daniel Fierimonte (Philadelphia, Pa./Father Judge) notably netted the first goal of his collegiate career
- Bryce Thomas (Lancaster, Pa./Lampeter Strasburg) made 10 saves
