NEW CASTLE, Del. – The HFU women's basketball reached the 20-win mark for the second year in a row with a 69-47 victory at Wilmington on Tuesday evening.
Holy Family had not won 20 games since 2015-16 prior to last season.
Individual Highlights
- Jessica Riepe (Marlboro, N.J./Marlboro) led all players with a career-high 17 points, while tying a career-best with eight rebounds
- Carly Bolivar (Elmont, N.Y./Sewanhaka (Alliance)) neared a double-double with eight points and a game-high nine assists, while Kara Meredith (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Archbishop Wood) led all players with a career-best three steals
- Carolyn Prevost (Belle Mead, N.J./Montgomery) and Ava Morrow (Morgantown, Pa./Twin Valley) both recorded their third double-doubles of the season with 12 points and a game-high 10 boards apiece
- Jenn Kokolus (Bethlehem, Pa./Freedom) made it four Tigers in double-figures with 10 points, while Claire Dougherty (Lehman, Pa./Lake-Lehman) notably set a career-best with four assists

How it Happened
- Holy Family never trailed as there was just one tie at 2-2
- The Tigers led by multiple possessions after two Morrow free throws made the score 9-4 5:24 in, and back-to-back buckets by Prevost completed seven unanswered to establish the first double-digit advantage, 16-5, with 2:36 left in the opening period
- A Riepe 3-pointer in the final minute of the first lifted HFU to a 19-12 cushion following 10 minutes of play
- Wilmington got as close as four with the opening basket of the second, only for Bolivar to cap seven unanswered for another 11-point lead, 26-15, three and a half minutes into the quarter
- The Wildcats chipped away to within five three times over the final four and a half minutes of the first half, but Prevost beat the buzzer for a 32-25 advantage entering the locker room
- After WilmU got as close as four one final time on a 3-pointer to open the third, Kokolus tallied the Tigers' final six points in a 13-1 stretch that made it a double-digit cushion for good
